Travel Agent Appreciation Month:

Welcome to the special weekly edition of Vicki's Spotlight to celebrate our 4th Annual Travel Agent Appreciation Month. This year we kicked off the celebrations with an official announcement to all our valued Travel Partners - you have hereby been declared Ambassadors for the Nation of Why NotSM. As Ambassadors it is up to you to represent everything the Nation of Why Not stands for - life, liberty and the pursuit of photo ops for all our guest citizens.

For those who missed the Ambassador announcement made during the Nation of Why Not's first ever Presidential Address by Adam Goldstein, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International® on April 1st, you can still access it online. Don't miss your chance to view cruise industry history being made. This was your moment, be sure to experience it by clicking here.

It is YOU who sees to it that all our guests have the right to remain happy, the freedom to choose any Royal Caribbean cruise to any destination they wish to sail, and the independence to seek entertainment personally tailored to their interests. And it is our mission to deliver all of this and multiple "Why Not" moments for them to experience. Together we make a great team.

To celebrate our valued partnerships, each weekly special newsletter edition will feature a spotlight on one of our Ambassadors. I had the pleasure of meeting some of these interesting and inspiring people during the Cruise3Sixty event last week.

I hope you enjoy these special editions, and know that it was very difficult to choose which Travel Partners to feature as we learned so many interesting facts about so many fascinating people, if only we could showcase you all. I am happy to know, however, that we have such a diverse assortment of pioneering people representing our vacation nation.

I truly say "Welcome Ambassadors - we salute you!"

Helga Leonard - A Dream Trip 4 You

Meet Helga - not only is she an interesting character, full of travel passion and energy - but she's also pretty lucky too. Just as we were pulling the winner of the drawing for an Oasis of the SeasSM ship model, she was introducing herself to one of our Cruise3Sixty staff members. When asked if she wanted to first listen for the winner to be announced, Helga said: "That's ok, I never ever win anything."

It was at that very moment her name was read. She won. And here she is photographed with her prize alongside Adam Goldstein, President and CEO, proving that anyone can be a winner with Royal Caribbean- no matter how unlucky they think they are. It was an unbelievable moment of fate.

Beyond her stroke of luck, Helga is quite an extraordinary woman. Prior to becoming a travel agent, she worked for 25 years in Disaster Response for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where she ran operation centers in California. Today, in her role as a travel agent, she arranges an annual "Polkas for Charity" cruise which attracts over two-hundred guests and raises money for people with cancer.

"Now I help people have fun," says Helga. "It is rewarding to see the positive responses I get when they return from their cruise and all the wonderful things they did."

Helga, you are a wonderfully quirky character and we are happy that you are one of our valued Travel Partners. Congratulations on the drawing, and thank you for being a proud Ambassador for the Nation of Why Not.
