Let’s face it - success is greatly influenced by the strength of our relationships and support network. Thankfully, I have had the honor of building incredible partnerships and friendships with many of you over the years, so I hope that you consider me part of your support network because I certainly consider you a member of mine.

The reason we work so well together is because our partnership is built upon open communication - the ability to push each other to exceed our potential, and most importantly, do what it takes to help each other succeed.

Whether it is past programs like ASAP, which provided extra commission and co-op dollars to stimulate business during Wave, or sales-lead programs like Royal Retention & NextCruise, we are always looking for ways to help our Travel Partners continue to be successful during these trying times.

Meet Lori Berberian Pelentay, owner of Kensington Cruises, a home-based agency affiliated with Montrose Travel.

Lori began her career in the reservations department of one of our major competitors. There she worked her way through the ranks from dispatch to Logistics Coordinator where she spent a year working onboard in the Mediterranean. There she learned ship life from the other side, which she says helps her greatly to this day.

When she left her previous company, got married and had children, she had never cruised with Royal Caribbean. Her parents spoke highly of their cruise experience with us and she decided to try one for herself. After that she says she “was hooked.”

In fact, it seems the passion for Royal runs in the family. Lori’s 13-year old son, PJ, is so obsessed with Oasis of the Seas® that he did a presentation at his school about the ship and all its amenities - and when he heard about the sales challenge we had a short while back, where Travel Partners could win an Oasis of the Seas pre-inaugural, PJ himself went to all his friends and their parents to sell them on a cruise vacation!

Today, Lori says her Royal bookings have doubled with “the new CruisingPower up and running and the entire Royal fleet at [her] fingertips 24-hours a day.” She’s also looking forward to several large groups in 2010 (I like to hear that!) and believes that Royal Caribbean “is setting the bar higher and higher in the industry with excellent customer service both on and off the ships.”
